SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A bank was held up and robbed on a main thoroughfare in San Francisco on Friday afternoon by a suspect armed with a gun, police said Monday.
The robbery occurred around 3:40 p.m. in the 2000 block of Van Ness Avenue.
The suspect, a man in his early to mid 30s, walked into the bank, sat down, and then pulled out a revolver, according to police.
He then pointed the gun at a 36-year-old man and demanded that all the bank’s employees go to the back of the bank.
The suspect then took an unspecified amount of money and fled. No arrest has been made in the robbery as of this morning, police said.
