SAN BRUNO (KRON)—Police have arrested a 29-year-old man accused of driving over grave sites after breaking into the Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno on Sunday night.

Officers received a call about a crash at the cemetery located at 1300 Sneath Lane around 9:20 p.m.

When police arrived to the scene, they found a man inside a badly damaged car.

Police found during the course of their investigation that the driver intentionally drove his car through the closed gates of the cemetery.

He then drove up a hill and tried to drive on top of a flight of granite stairs before his car stopped, according to police.

The suspect has been identified as Pierce Jagger of Berkeley. Jagger was arrested for driving with a suspended license and suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs.
