SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Friday’s landmark marriage equality decision handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court serves as a testament to the power of love and never giving up, according to a long-time couple who visited the KRON studio Saturday morning.
Stuart Gaffney and John Lewis were two of the plaintiffs from the 2008 lawsuit that first challenged California’s ban on same-sex marriage.
The couple, together for 28 years and married in San Francisco City Hall in 2008, spoke with KRON’s Marty Gonzalez about the impact of the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark decision Friday making same-sex marriage legal.
