LONDON (KRON) – After much speculation, Britain’s newest princess has a name: Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
According to officials at Buckingham Palace the name is an homage to her great grandmother, the current queen, and her paternal grandmother who died in 1997, Princess Diana.
Charlotte, which is the female equivalent to Charles is a nod to William’s father. The darling baby will be addressed as Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.
The second baby and first girl for Kate and William is fourth in line to the throne.
No word on how big brother George is welcoming the newest addition to the growing royal family.
