SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – On today’s edition of Rob Black’s Winners and Losers, our financial expert Rob Black and KRON 4’s Mark Danon talk about Uber, Epipens and Amazon.

The ride-sharing giant Uber Technologies Inc. lost at least $1.2 billion in the first half of 2016. Uber is expected to go public in late 2017.

A steep increase in the price of the EpiPen, a lifesaving injection device for people with severe allergies, has sparked outrage among consumers and lawmakers who worry that parents won’t be able to afford the pens for children heading back to school. Mylan now says they will offer discounts but won’t budge on the price.

Amazon is planning a ‘click and collect’ grocery service, where customers select their groceries online and pick them up at the store.
