The most expensive games of the NBA season so far tip off on Wednesday night, with fans bidding a final farewell to Kobe Bryant in Los Angeles and cheering on the Golden State Warriors as they attempt to break the record for most wins in a season in Oakland.
ESPN reported that the Stub Hub average for tickets to see Kobe Bryant are going for an average of $997. The most expensive courtside tickets sold on the site went for a whopping $27,500 each. For the Warriors, ticket tracking site TiqIQ shows the average list price to be $1,594.
The cost of owning a car has hit a six-year low, driven by lower gasoline prices. It now costs $8,558 on average to own and operate a vehicle, assuming annual mileage of 15,000. That comes out to about 57 cents a mile, or roughly $713 a month, to cover both fixed and variable car costs.
