SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – On today’s edition of Rob Black’s Winners and Losers, our financial expert Rob Black and KRON 4’s Mark Danon talk about how Facebook wants to live-stream NFL, gift cards and McDonald’s.

Facebook is bidding on the rights to stream NFL games, Facebook’s vice president of partnerships, Dan Rose, told Variety. Facebook is competing with other bidders including Amazon and Verizon. Live video has been a big push at Facebook recently. CEO Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly “obsessed” with making Facebook’s live-video service a success.

Retailers are making it tougher to buy gift cards, a consequence of new credit-card rules that put them on the hook for fraud. Some merchants are requiring that customers buy the cards with cash or asking that they show identification.

McDonald’s has raised the price of the McPick 2 deal to $5 from $2. A lukewarm performance for McDonald’s McPick 2 for $2 deal led RBC to lower its estimates for first-quarter same-store sales, sending the fast-food giant’s shares lower in early trading.
