RICHMOND (KRON)—Diners at Salute e Vita filled the Richmond Marina restaurant Thursday to celebrate its continuing operation.

Just days ago, its owner received a notice to vacate the premises in thirty days.

The Richmond community including Mayor Tom Butt rallied last minute support for the popular dining spot.

On Wednesday night, the owner and staff received notification that they can remain open.

The owner and her pro bono legal assistance is negotiating a long-term lease with the hope this will not happen again.
