RICHMOND (BCN) — Richmond police arrested four suspected gang members including a 16-year-old boy after responding to reports of gunshots on Thursday morning, police said.
Officers responded to an activation of the Shotspotter gunfire detection system on the Richmond Greenway at 11:45 a.m., police said. When they arrived they saw a group of five people standing there and two ran away.
Officers chased down and caught one of the fleeing suspects, a 16-year-old boy. They searched him and found a loaded .40-caliber pistol, police said.
They also searched the other three suspects who stayed behind and found two extended magazines, a ledger for drug sales and two shaved keys used to steal cars, police said.

All four were arrested on weapons and gang-related offenses. Investigators determined the identity of the other suspect who ran and are looking for him, police said.
There were no injuries reported from the gunfire.
