Those close to 38-year old Kishana Harley are speaking out five days after she was brutally murdered.

The body of the mother of four was inside her apartment last Thursday in Richmond. As of Tuesday night, no arrests have been made.

Police tell KRON4 the motive, suspect information, and cause of death are still undetermined.

Harley, as she was called, was a mom to a 2-year-old, a 3-year-old, a 14-year-old, and an 18-year-old who just graduated from Marine boot camp.  She was also an activist who attended Richmond city council meetings on a regular basis.

Her co-workers and friends grew worried when she didn’t show up to work at the Social Security office last week. She missed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Police found her lying on her apartment floor with traumatic injuries on Thursday. Her kids were not with her when all of this happened.

KRON4 spoke with her ex-fiance earlier on Tuesday evening.

A memorial for Harley will be held Thursday night at the apartment complex where she lived, right across the street from the Kennedy High School football field.

Police tell KRON4 they are still searching for Harley’s car–a black Mercedes R500 Crossover.

It is still missing on Tuesday night.
