CLEVELAND (KRON) — The Cleveland Browns are willing to trade for San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, but not so fast, according to Cleveland.com.
The report said the Browns are willing to give up a third-round pick for Kaepernick. The Browns want to restructure Kaepernick’s $19 million a year contract, Cleveland.com said.
The 49ers may have wanted a second-round pick in the deal, but might be willing to take a third-round pick.
Kaepernick, who last year landed in the dog house and lost his job to backup QB Blaine Gabbert, wants to play for the Browns and their new coach Hue Jackson, reported ESPN, citing multiple sources.
