A burned-out former Castro District home, known as the “drug den,” has sold for $2 million, according to the real estate website SocketSite.
The owners made $1.6 million on the home, as it was bought in 1995 for $440,000, the website said. The duplex, located at 517-519 Sanchez Street, was raided many times over the last decade.
Authorities have seized a large amount of ketamine, meth, heroin, cocaine, and cash from the home over the years.
The home was listed at $2.6 million three months ago as a “wonderful Victorian home in amazing Dolores Heights location,” SocketSite reported.
In May, the home was put back on the market for nearly $1 million. The home caught fire in February.
The 3,000-square foot home closed escrow last week.
