Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) is in New Hampshire and is considering throwing his hat into the 2020 ring.
On Monday, he met with business and political leaders in Manchester, where he explained why he’s thinking about running for president.
“I’m here in February on a Monday morning not because I want to see all the Dublins that are in the United States and I did yesterday see Dublin New Hampshire. It is because I am considering running for president. I do believe I’m connected to that everyday American experience of grit and resiliency but believing that it adds up to something.”
Some of Swalwell’s ideas include universal health care, a debt-free college work-study plan, and banning and buying back assault rifles from dangerous individuals.
