REDWOOD CITY (KRON) — An 18-year-old man has been arrested for indecent exposure in San Mateo on Thursday morning, according to police.
Police said they arrested Isaiah Diaz at around 9:30 a.m. in San Mateo on an arrest warrant charging him with three counts of indecent exposure. The charges were connected with a series of indecent exposure incidents which happened at Redwood Shores from Sept. 11 to Oct. 10.
Diaz would drive up to female victims walking in the area, motion them over to his car, and try to talk with them, police said. When the victims approached the car, Diaz would expose himself, according to police.
Surveillance video caught the suspect car on Oct. 10. That same day, at around 12:39 p.m., Diaz allegedly drove up to a 47-year-old woman walking in the area of Redwood Shores Parkway and Egret Lane.
He then asked her for directions, and that is when she saw Diaz masturbating in the car, police said. The suspect drove away, but the woman contacted police.
An officer reviewed surveillance footage and eventually identified Diaz as a suspect.
Diaz was booked into the San Mateo County Jail.
