REDWOOD CITY (KRON) — Police in Redwood City arrested acupuncturist Dr. Randall Neustaedter Monday after he sexually assaulted a female patient, according to police.
Police say the 27-year-old female victim bought a Groupon for a series of acupuncture treatments administered by Dr. Randall Neustaedter.
The victim attended several acupuncture treatment sessions with Neustaedter, according to police. During one of the sessions, Neustaedter offered the victim an acupuncture massage which she accepted.
During the massage, Neustaedter inappropriately and deliberately touched the victim’s genital area, police said.
San Mateo County Sheriff’s Detectives conducted an investigation, which led to Neustaedter’s arrest.
Neustaedter was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility for 2 counts of 289 PC (Forcible Act of Sexual Penetration) and has since posted $200,000.00 bail.
He is due to be arraigned on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 8:30 am, in San Mateo County Superior Court, in Redwood City.
Police believe there may be more victims, and are asking anyone with any information to come forward.
