The Oakland Raiders are gearing up for their long road trip to London, England.
It will be a ten-hour flight and an eight-hour time change, which is not ideal for playing a football game.
The Raiders coaching staff elected not to travel with the players until Thursday, to make sure the team gets all of their prep work in on time.
The Seahawks, the Raiders opponent, left for London on Wednesday.
Despite the challenges that come with playing a road game out of the county, many of the players are excited to play in England.
It is certainly a once in a lifetime opportunity and many see it that way.
“You know, I grew up a soccer fan and I knew there were some games in London, and then I got a call from the Raiders and didn’t even look at the schedule until a couple of weeks ago and saw that we were playing in London so it’s pretty cool. And to play at Wembley, last week Lionel Messi was playing on that field Champions League on the same field that we are going to play on. On top of that, playing against my teammate Tyler Lockett that I played with at K-State, so I look forward to seeing both him and Janikowski,” said Raiders kicker Matt Mccrane.
The Raiders will land in London, sometime on Friday afternoon.
