More than 2 dozen demonstrators marched to the lobby of Pacific, Gas and Electric’s Corporate Headquarters in San Francisco Tuesday to protests the company’s role in the Camp Fire.
“You need to be held responsible for what happened in Paradise, we can’t continue allowing this bad behavior of destroying lives and neighborhoods,” a protester Faiq Raza said.
Demonstrators, who read the names of those who perished in the Camp Fire believe the utility is responsible for causing the fire.
Attorney Mike Danko, who is filing lawsuits on behalf of both Camp Fire survivors and families of victims agrees and in his latest filing, he pinpoints what he believes is the cause of the blaze.
“We know the fire started at a high transmission tower,” Danko said. “An electrified wire on the tower came loose from its mooring and struck the side of the tower that caused sparks and that caused molten metal from the tower to fall onto the trees below and that’s what started the fire.”
Danko says PG&E is not only negligent but has a conscious disregard for people’s safety.
