NORTH PLAINFIELD, N.J. (AP) – A central New Jersey man who allegedly made hundreds of child pornography images available online is now facing charges.

Somerset County prosecutors say 42-year-old Jose Orellana, of North Plainfield, was arrested after authorities searched his home this week. The investigation began in October, but authorities have not disclosed what prompted the probe.

Orellana’s computer was seized, and investigators say he had made more than 1,300 image files of child porn available for download online through a file-sharing network.

Orellana was charged with distributing child porn and child endangerment. His bail was set at $100,000 cash. It was not known Saturday if he has retained an attorney.
