CONTRA COSTA COUNTY (KRON) — Around 26,000 people were without power in the San Ramon and Danville area Thursday morning, according to PG&E.
The outage was reported at 7:42 a.m. and caused Crow Canyon Road to be closed in both directions at Alcosta Boulevard.
PG&E crews were able to restore the power to 20,000 of the customers by 9:50 a.m. All power was restored later that day.
Police said earlier that a blown transformer is responsible for the outage, but PG&E officials said the cause is still under investigation.Stay with KRON4 News for updates
