Pot brownies swapped for homecoming queen votes, police say

A Michigan high school cheerleader allegedly brought pot brownies to school to secure votes for homecoming queen.

The Hartford Police Department got a tip about the situation from the “Ok 2 Say” app allowing people to anonymously pass along information.

The tip suggested that a 17-year-old cheerleader was giving these brownies to some football players.

“The school’s taking this very seriously,” Michael Prince with the Hartford Police Department said. “They are doing their own investigation and they’re just starting to turn over some of the statements from the students possibly involved or witnesses.”

The main suspect is currently out of town with a family emergency but will hopefully be interviewed when she returns, according to police.
