SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A portable toilet company is offering a reward to find out who set some of their toilets on fire.
Tiffany Lawyer, with Atlantic Potties, told WAVY.com the fires broke out around 2 a.m. Sunday in Suffolk. The toilets were in front of the SunTrust Bank building on N. Main Street.
The toilets are pink, in support of the Susan G. Komen Tidewater chapter. According to company manager, Tavis Meredith, two of their porta-potties were destroyed and a third is unusable. He said it’s about $4,000 in damage. Meredith said he received a call from Suffolk Police around 3 a.m. letting him know what had happened.
The company says the fires were deliberately set and is offering a $2500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) involved. WAVY News 10 has reached out to police to get additional details.
