San Jose police are looking for anyone with more information about a domestic violence turned murder case.
This after a woman died Wednesday after a week in a hospital because her husband allegedly attacked her.
Police say this started as a domestic violence case on Aug. 8 when a woman was taken to a hospital after she said her husband attacked her.
That turned into a murder charge this week when she died from her injuries.
So, police are now trying to figure out what happened that lead to her death.
Forty-eight-year-old Cam Ngoc Le is in police custody on Friday night.
He was arrested on Aug. 8 for attacking his wife Tiffany Phan. The 49-year-old was injured at their home near Alum Rock Avenue in San Jose.
Offers were called around 4:45 p.m. that afternoon with reports of a domestic disturbance. They say they found Phan suffering from major head trauma from an apparent assault.
She was rushed to a local hospital where she spent almost a week before she died of her injuries. Police say they now are charging her husband Le with murder.
San Jose police are treating the death as a domestic violence homicide.
Police are looking for anyone with information about what led up to the death.
It marks the city’s 19th homicide of the year.
The city had the same number of homicides at this point last year.
