The San Pablo Police Department is apologizing after they tried to arrest the wrong woman at a Starbucks.
The incident happened at around 2:48 p.m. at the Starbucks located at 3300 San Pablo Dam Road.
Officers were responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle and of a woman who refused to leave.
But when the officers came in, they confronted the woman seen on video, who made it clear she was not the person they were looking for.
That’s when the Starbucks employee tells the officer the suspect had run away.
The police apologized to the woman and released body cam video after complaints were made.
The body camera video also contains a summary from police of what happened.
