OAKLAND (KRON) — Police right now are investigating reports of an armed vehicle in Oakland Friday afternoon.
The incident happened at around 5:20 p.m. near 98th Avenue on Interstate 580, near the Oakland Zoo.
According to Oakland police, officers are conducting a high-risk stop of the suspect vehicle.
The freeway was temporarily shutdown but officers cleared the lanes just before 5:20 p.m., according to police.
It is unclear what prompted officers to pull the car over.
No further information is being released at this time.
