A suspect involved with a fireworks explosion in a San Jose garage on Sunday has been released from the hospital and arrested by San Jose Police Department.
Officials say John Meltzer has been booked into Santa Clara County Jail on Monday for possession of a destructive device.
Meltzer was one of two suspects taken to the hospital.
The second man is still in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the explosion was reported around 3:09 p.m. on Sunday.
The two men were then taken to the hospital.
The San Jose Police Department Bomb Unit went to the house and found fireworks in the garage.
Nearby homes were evacuated.
