ANAHEIM (KRON/AP) – A 44-year-old San Francisco man is facing charges, after he was arrested on suspicion of possessing a loaded weapon outside the gates of Disneyland, Anaheim police said.
Lt. Eric Trapp said Wednesday that park visitors alerted security officers about a man with a possible gun on July 9 in the esplanade area between Disneyland and California Adventure.
Police were called and Percival Aguilar Agoncillo was taken into custody on suspicion of possessing a loaded weapon without a permit.
Officials say a post-arrest background check found that Agoncillo was on probation in San Mateo County for carrying a loaded gun.
He was booked and released after posting $20,000 bail.
Agoncillo is due to appear in Orange County court for arraignment on Aug. 27.
