SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Police are searching for a man who attempted to rob a hotel in South San Francisco Friday night.

At 9:45 p.m., the suspect entered the hotel at 120 Hickey Blvd. and demanded money from the register, police said.

The suspect motioned to indicate that there was a weapon in the pocket of his sweatshirt, but no weapon was seen at any point during the robbery, according to police.

When the victim told the suspect that police were on their way, the suspect fled on foot towards Camaritas Avenue, police said.

The suspect is described as a clean-shaven white man in his late twenties with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with his hood covering his hair and jeans.
