PETALUMA (BCN) — Police are asking for the public’s assistance after a man was seen on surveillance video taking televisions from a Petaluma store earlier this week, police said this morning.

On Monday, at 11:52 a.m., officers received a report of a burglary that occurred at a Kmart store, located at 261 N. McDowell Boulevard, according to police.

Store employees told officers a male suspect had taken two televisions, before exiting the store through a rear door.

The suspect then got into an awaiting blue minivan, which had been parked behind the business, police said.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic or white man, wearing a red hat, a white long sleeve shirt with black writing, black pants and black and white shoes, according to police.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact Petaluma police at (707) 781-1264.
