LOWER MORELAND, Pa. (KRON) – Police had their hands full as they rounded up a bunch of puppies that got loose on the Pennsylvania Turnpike after the van transporting them hit a truck.
The crash happened Wednesday around 4:30 a.m. between Willow Grove and Bensalem.
Police told KYW-TV the dogs got loose when their cages were opened on impact.

The eastbound lanes were closed while authorities rounded up the puppies.
Two people were taken to a hospital. Their conditions are not known.
It is not known if any of the puppies were injured.
