SALINAS (KRON) — Police caught up with a man believed to have taken inappropriate photos of a woman at a Victoria’s Secret in Salinas, thanks in large part to the crystal clear images taken from the Northridge Mall’s surveillance system and the public’s response.
The man is being accused of snapping photos up an employee’s skirt while she working in the store. Salinas police are not identifying the suspect due to the ongoing investigation.
Police served a search warrant at the home of the man and electronic devices were confiscated, said Salinas Police Department Sergeant Jeff Gibson.

The man was described as about 30-year-old, 5’10” and weighing about 145 pounds, with short brown hair and a goatee.
Gibson credits the mall’s high-quality security cameras which captured the suspect walking through the lobby and driving away in his vehicle. The images were distributed to several media outlets and about half of the public’s tips led them to the suspect, according to Gibson.
