Police: Ohio 4-year-old accidentally shoots himself

OHIO (WCMH) — Columbus Police says a 4-year-old boy is in expected to survive after he accidentally shot himself inside a home east of downtown Columbus.

Police were called to the 1300 block of Cole Street around 7:45 p.m. on the report of a shooting.

Officers on scene say Tyjhaunn Granger, 4, shot himself in the abdomen while in the bathroom. Police say he found the gun in the bathroom cupboard.

Granger was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but is now expected to survive his injuries.

The incident is under investigation.
