POMONA, Calif. (AP) – An arrest warrant has been issued for a rookie Los Angeles policeman suspected of killing a man during a Pomona bar fight while he was off-duty.
Pomona police say they obtained a murder warrant Monday against 27-year-old Henry Solis.
He’s suspected of shooting 23-year-old Salome Rodriguez while off-duty early Friday.
The Ontario warehouse worker was shot in the lower torso. Solis was off-duty at the time.
Police say Solis should be considered armed and dangerous. He might be driving a brown or tan 1992 Ford pickup.
Los Angeles police say Solis joined the force in June and was assigned to a station in the San Fernando Valley. He had not yet completed his probationary period.
