Police: Mother fled hospital with infant after he tested positive for drugs

A woman was arrested Thursday after Yuba City police say she fled from a hospital with her infant son after he tested positive for drugs.

Tina Baiz took 11-month-old Zeke to Rideout Memorial Hospital Wednesday when he began to suffer from a medical emergency, according to police.

Police say when she realized Zeke had tested positive for drugs, she left with the infant who was still attached to an IV.

Authorities reached out to the public to help find the mother, her infant son and her 2-year-old daughter Zoey.

Police announced Thursday that all have been found and the children have been taken to the hospital for evaluation.
