PETALUMA (KRON) — Petaluma police have released pictures of a man accused of using the identities of three North Bay residents to withdraw over $3,000 from their bank accounts.
The suspect obtained banking information from at least three victims in Petaluma, Rohnert Park and American Canyon, and obtained ATM/credit cards to withdraw the money, Petaluma police Sgt. Ed Crosby said.
The man used the Petaluma victim’s banking information to withdraw money at ATMs in Napa and Vallejo on Nov. 18 and 19, Crosby said.
The suspect also used the other victims’ banking information to make ATM withdrawals in Benicia, Crosby said.
Police do not know how the suspect got the victims’ banking information, and it is not known how many other thefts might be linked to him, Crosby said.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Petaluma or Rohnert Park police or the Napa County Sheriff’s Office, Crosby said.Bay City News contributed to this report
