An Alabama man raped an unconscious woman in front of a crowd of people behind the Sterling Breeze condo on Panama City Beach, according to a news release from the Panama City Beach Police Department.
Sean Alexander Riley, 21, attacked the woman while she was on a beach chair and only stopped when a crowd of onlookers convinced him to get off the victim, officers wrote. Riley then ran away from the area but was taken into custody a short time later.
In an interview with police Riley provided “incriminating physical evidence” and “corroborated a great deal of the information provided by the victim and the witnesses,” police wrote.
Despite this evidence, Riley denied that he did anything wrong, police added.
