COBLESKILL, N.Y. (WTEN) – The Cobleskill Police Department arrested a man they say drove to his DWI hearing under the influence.

Police say as Hal Bruhns, 24, of Cobleskill, was going through security at the courthouse for a prior DWI arrest, an officer noticed a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and other signs of intoxication.

After investigating, police arrested and charged Bruhns with driving while intoxicated and operating an uninspected vehicle.

Bruhns was released to his attorney and is due back in court in June.
