A freeway shooting investigation shut down WB-580 at 238, and 238 to WB-580 for close to an hour Monday morning.
Additional closures were in place on the Foothill on-ramp to WB-580 and Castro Valley Boulevard to WB-580.
According to police, a call came in just before 12:30 a.m. reporting a freeway shooting on WB-580 between 167th and 164th.
Police say a light-colored Ford Taurus pulled up to a black 2013 Camaro and fired shots, hitting the victim’s car four times.
The victim was not injured and drove to Castro Valley CHP to report the shooting.
There were no reported injuries.
Police say the suspect vehicle has not been located and there is no suspect description available.
Roads in the area were re-opened just before 5 a.m.
