NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Police in Virginia say three men were seriously injured in a shooting Tuesday afternoon – and there could be video of the incident online.
At about 6:10 p.m., officers were called to the 900 block of Bainbridge Boulevard for a report of gunshots heard. As police responded to the scene, the call was upgraded to three possible gunshot victims.
When officers arrived on scene, they found three men inside a vehicle suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Police say all three men, ages 27 and 29, suffered life-threatening injuries. The victims were taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with “significant injuries.”
Police confirm that detectives are investigating the possibility that the incident was recorded and broadcast in a live video to a Facebook page.
A video sent to WAVY viewers appears to show three men in a vehicle, listening to music and smoking. About five and a half minutes into the video, shots are fired several times. The video continues broadcasting from what appears to be the floor of the vehicle.
WAVY has not yet confirmed that this video was the one that detectives are looking into.
