HAYWARD (KRON) — Police are investigating a homicide that happened early Tuesday morning in Hayward.
According to police, a man and a woman were walking near the intersection of Arf Avenue and Morningside Drive around 1 a.m. when several men confronted the pair.
After a brief exchange, one of the men shot the male victim. The suspects then fled in a silver SUV, police said.
The victim died at the scene from his wounds, according to police.
The Alameda County Coroner’s Office is working to identify the victim, police said.
