BRISBANE (KRON) — Police are investigating a shooting Thursday morning that injured two people at a party in Brisbane.
At 11:50 a.m. Wednesday night, officers responded to a report of a large party in a field near Industrial Way, according to police.
When officers arrived, they found several hundred people in and around an abandoned building known as “The Round House,” police said.
As the party was breaking up, police heard several gunshots.
Officers found two victims. One person was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm and the other victim had a gunshot wound to the torso.
Both subjects were transported to the hospital and are expected to recover from their injuries, police said.
Police say they have conflicting reports of what the suspect looks like. So far, they believe that the suspect was a male, possibly an African American or Pacific Islander.
It is unknown at this time if the shooting was random or targeted.
