San Francisco police are investigating a death at San Francisco General Hospital on Monday.
The circumstances of the death are not known at this time.
Preliminary findings haven’t uncovered evidence of foul play.
Police are trying to determine the cause of the death.
It could be weeks before they find out.
But it’s been reported that the woman died while in a bed in the hallway of the hospital’s psychiatric ward.
And reports say that the dead woman had been there on an involuntary 72-hour hold, which happens when a person is considered dangerous, suicidal, or gravely disabled due to mental illness.
