SAN BRUNO (KRON) — Police are looking for a driver suspected in a deadly hit-and-run accident Sunday in San Bruno.

Around 7:06 a.m. officers responded to reports of a pedestrian laying on the side State Highway 35 (Skyline Blvd.), between College Dr. and Sharp Park Rd., police said.

Medics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene, according to San Bruno Police Department.

Police say that evidence suggests the person was hit by a car, but the vehicle was not found.

The victim’s name is not being release until the San Mateo County Coroner notifies the family.

“The investigation into this incident is ongoing and is being led by the Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) with the assistance of the Investigative Services Section,” police said.
