MILLBRAE (KRON) — Police are looking for a hit-and-run suspect wanted for hitting a man in his 60s crossing a road in Millbrae Tuesday night.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with serious head injuries, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office and the California Highway Patrol.
The man was crossing El Camino Real just north of Mateo Avenue at about 11 p.m., sheriff’s officials said.
He was not in a crosswalk and was stepping off the center median when the driver of what investigators believe was a silver Toyota Tacoma hit the man.
The driver then fled the scene.
The victim was found lying in the street and was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The driver remains at large. Investigators did not immediately provide any more detailed description of the driver and are asking for assistance in solving the crime.
