SALINAS (BCN) — Police in Salinas are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Friday night.
Officers with the Salinas Police Department responded at 10:18 p.m. to the 800 block of Park Row on a repot of a robbery and learned a 60-year-old woman was leaving a business when she was robbed.
Police said the victim was walking through the parking lot when a vehicle sped up to her, and a passenger jumped out of the vehicle, pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at her and demanded money.
The victim handed over her purse, and the suspect fled in the vehicle.
The suspect was described as a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with light blue jeans. He was armed with a handgun.
The vehicle is described as a four-door sedan, possibly a Honda.
