SARATOGA (KRON) — A man found dead by his roommate in Saratoga last month has been identified.
Police identified the man as 54-year-old Vernon Gera, but the cause of his death remains a mystery.
Santa Clara County Sheriff Officials say they are waiting for the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office to determine how he died.
Gera’s death is being treated as a homicide until proved otherwise.
Police say Gera’s roommate called police after finding Gera’s body inside their residence on the 19000 block of Sky Oaks Way.
Police have interviewed several people including members of Gera’s family, but are hoping the public can help aid in the investigation.
