Police: Husband shoots wife then himself in Walnut Creek murder-suicide

Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Walnut Creek after a husband and wife were found dead Tuesday.

Officers found the bodies of Richard Huber Jr., 66, and Sarah Huber, 68, at 1:29 p.m. while conducting a welfare check at a home in the 1800 block of Holland Drive, according to police.

Based on evidence at the scene, police believe the husband shot his wife then turned the gun on himself.

Further details were not released by law enforcement.
