A Hayward man has been arrested for filming people in a Union City public bathroom in August, police said on Wednesday.
On Aug. 22, police responded to the Starbucks located at 32240 Dyer St. in Union City to look into a hidden camera inside the bathroom.
Detectives identified the suspect as 35-year-old David Lista of Hayward.
He was arrested at his home on Aug. 30.
There, police say they found evidence of more crimes being committed. The crimes include illegal videotaping of subjects in restrooms, child porn (felony), possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Lista is a registered sex offender convicted in 2008 of having child porn, which he got from taping girls at Mills High School.
Lista worked as a plumber and may have taped victims during his work, officers said.
If you have any information or hired him as a plumber, you are asked to call the police at (510)-675-5283.
