FAIRFIELD (KRON) — Police and firefighters in Fairfield are conducting emergency preparedness drills at the Solano Mall Thursday morning in the wake of Tuesday’s Brussels terror attack.
The drills started at 6 a.m. at the Solano Town Center located at 1350 Travis Boulevard.
Authorities are preparing for any given emergency that may happen.
One of the scenarios happened inside of the movie theatre.
Police officers were told a phone call came in saying there was an active shooter inside of the movie theatre. In the video above, a man in black hoody can be seen being chased by authorities.
All areas of the training are closed to the public, with physical barriers, signs, and safety monitors in place.
Fairfield PD sent a notification to make the public aware that the increased police presence at the mall is no reason to be alarmed.
