VACAVILLE (BCN) — Police arrested two men early Friday morning, after the pair allegedly assaulted a man, leaving him in serious condition, according to police.
Just after midnight, officers responded to the 1100 block of Marshall Road and found a man who had just been assaulted, according to police.
Witnesses at the scene told officers two men had severely beaten the victim before fleeing on foot, police said.
Officers quickly established a search of the area and located the suspects. They were identified as 19-year-old Jair Sampson and 20-year-old Nathan Hawk, according to police.
The witnesses were able to positively identify the two men as the attackers. Officers arrested both Sampson and Hawk on suspicion of assault
with a deadly weapon, assaulting causing great bodily injury, as well as probation violation, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital and was in serious condition.
Police are continuing to investigate a motive for the assault.
