SCOTTS VALLEY (BCN) — Police arrested a 57-year-old Scotts Valley man Friday on suspicion of stalking and threatening a Scotts Valley female, according to the Scotts Valley Police Department.
Officers arrested Steven Kirk Dunning on La Cuesta Drive after serving a warrant for his arrest, police said.
Police said during their investigation they learned that as early as 2009 Dunning had been following the female. Police said they have a number of other documented incidents of similar behavior by Dunning in the last six years.
Dunning had recently driven by the female’s home and made threatening gestures at her, according to police. Other women in the past six years have given reports to police that Dunning has followed them while they were shopping and followed them in a vehicle in town, police said.
Police are asking anyone who has been in touch with Dunning or believes they have suffered from similar behavior from him to get in touch with them.
